The Department of Commerce was established in SCIM Government College in the year 1968. The Department aims to provide an excellent learning opportunity to the students belonging to the rural and economically backward and weaker sections of the society.The Department has well trained, research oriented, experienced, dedicated faculty to help the students in learning concepts of Accounting, Business, Taxation, Banking and other fields of knowledge essential in their daily life.
The department is committed to integrate all facets of commerce and equip them with knowledge and skills which enhance their ability to secure employment in functional areas such as accounting ,taxation ,banking ,insurance ,finance , marketing and database management.
To equip the students with business analytical, leadership and Entrepreneurship skills and develop research aptitude in learners to enable them to contribute towards solving issues related to trade and Commerce.
